Hi there! My name is Sajel Surati and I am a first-year PhD student at New York University under the direction of Emily Black and Rosanna Bellini. My work centers on the intersection of Responsible AI and Human Computer Interaction. In my free time, I enjoy reading, running, and cycling!

Fall 2024-Spring 2025
For my honors project, I developed a new methodology for representing Multi-objective optimization problems which contain interdependencies between time steps. I represented this using game theoretic constraints, then applied it to crop recommendation generation for farmers.
Summer 2024
Gig2Gether is a web application designed by a team from Carnegie Mellon to facilitate datasharing between gigworkers and policymakers. I contributed from the prototyping stage to implementation and user testing, and helped write/edit our paper.
